Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Gridline Labs, LLC ("Gridline Labs", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and how you can have it removed. It covers this website (gridlinelabs.studio) and Gridline Studio, our in-house publishing tool.

The short version. This website has no accounts, no forms and no tracking cookies. Gridline Studio is used only by Gridline Labs to post our own videos to social media accounts we own. We never sell data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with anyone else.

1. This website

We don't ask you for personal information here, and we don't use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider handles basic request data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Fonts load from Google Fonts and one script loads from cdnjs (Cloudflare), so those services also receive your IP address when you visit. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

2. Gridline Studio

Gridline Studio schedules and publishes videos made by Gridline Labs to Gridline Labs' own channels on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. It is an internal tool. It isn't sold or offered to the public, and only Gridline Labs team members can sign in to it. When a team member connects one of our channels, the platform asks for permission, and Gridline Studio receives the following:

YouTube (Google)

Gridline Studio uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel, the account holder agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of the data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy (google.com/policies/privacy).

Permissions requested: youtube.upload (to upload our videos) and youtube.readonly (to read the connected channel's name and ID and confirm an upload finished).
Data accessed: the channel's ID, title and thumbnail, OAuth access and refresh tokens, and the status of videos we upload.
Use: only to upload videos we made, with titles, descriptions and privacy settings we wrote, to the channel that was connected.
We don't read, store or analyse other people's videos, comments, subscribers or viewing data.

Facebook and Instagram (Meta)

Permissions requested: pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_posts, instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish.
Data accessed: the names and IDs of our Facebook Pages and linked Instagram professional accounts, their access tokens, and the status of posts we publish.
Use: only to publish our videos and captions to those Pages and accounts.

TikTok

Permissions requested: user.info.basic, video.upload, video.publish.
Data accessed: the account's display name, avatar and open ID, its access and refresh tokens, and the status of videos we upload.
Use: only to upload and publish our videos to that account.

3. How we store and protect it

Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest in Gridline Studio's database.
Gridline Studio runs on a server we control and is reachable only over our private network, not the public internet.
Only Gridline Labs team members can use it, each with their own login.

We don't sell, rent or share data from YouTube, Google, Meta or TikTok with anyone. We don't use it for advertising or to build profiles, and we don't use it to train AI models. The only place it goes is back to the platform it came from, when we publish a video there. We'd disclose information only if the law required it.

5. How long we keep it

Tokens and channel details are kept only while a channel is connected. Disconnecting a channel in Gridline Studio deletes its tokens straight away.
Data obtained from the YouTube API Services is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
Records of our own posts (the video, caption, time and resulting post link) are kept for our production records.

6. Revoking access

A connected account can withdraw Gridline Studio's access at any time, from the platform itself:

Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose Gridline Studio, then remove access.
Facebook / Instagram: Facebook Settings → Business Integrations (or Apps and Websites), then remove Gridline Studio.
TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security → Apps and services permissions, then remove Gridline Studio.

Once access is revoked, the stored tokens stop working immediately. To have them deleted as well, see the next section.

7. Deleting your data

To have any data about you or your account deleted, email hello@gridlinelabs.studio with the subject "Data deletion request" and the account or channel involved. We'll delete it and confirm by email within 30 days.

8. Children

Neither this website nor Gridline Studio is directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
